Rogan wears his part as easily as his officer’s uniform, conveying a modest self-confidence appropriate to Cable’s upper-class Ivy League background. He sings 'Younger Than Springtime' as the touching love offering it’s meant to be while his delivery of 'You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught' simmers with indignation at having been raised to 'hate all the people your relatives hate.'
Cindy Nickerson, Cape Cod Times
I don’t remember this elaborate of a musical production in Cape Playhouse’s history of staging the big shows, but the care and expense has paid off. The evening is a trip back into memory-land for those of us who have loved “South Pacific” forever and a lucky encounter for the young ones in the audience last Friday night, who sat enthralled at first hearing the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein score.
Iris Fanger, The Patriot Ledger
This impeccable, soaring production is one of the best shows to perform at the Playhouse in recent memory. Its bright, crisp staging brings to life all the nuances and depths of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s original creation.
